Jack Balderrama Morley is a queer, Xicanx-Anglo writer represented by Danielle Bukowski at Sterling Lord Literistic. They are also a former architectural designer and are now the managing editor of Dwell. They previously worked at The Architect’s Newspaper, Architizer, Sidewalk Labs, and Morphosis. The pinnacle of their design career was when they interned for a summer in Tokyo at SANAA and spent seventy-two unbroken hours in the office working on presentation drawings that probably made no sense and most likely were never used.

Their book, Dream Facades, about reality TV and architecture, is coming out from Astra House in 2026.

Jack’s writing has appeared in the New Yorker and Dwell, and their fiction has appeared in No Contact, Gertrude, and Soft Punk.

Samples of Jack’s architecture writing are available here, and editing samples are here.
